First Round Judges for the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest 2006 were: Michael Hanson - Record Producer; John Robbin – Songwriter; Nathan Nicholson - Publisher, NTW Music Management; Candace Randolph – Songwriter; John Lee - Music Photographer; Jeannie Winn - A&R Consultant; Sarah Johnson - Creative Manager, Harlan Howard Songs; Shyla Morrow - President, Sin City Marketing; Michelle Goble - ASCAP/Nashville Media Relations; John Allen - Senior Creative Director, Bug Music Publishing; Drew Hale - Creative Manager, Bug Music Publishing; Antoinette Olesen - Creative Director, Ash Street Music; Al Moss - Radio Promotion, Al Moss Promotion; and Brian Sprouse - Creative Director, Blue Water Music. Grand Ole Opry appearance !! - August 15, 2005

During a backstage visit with The Jim Lauderdale Band at the Grand Ole Opry on her birthday August 12th, Jim surprised Candace by bringing her out to sing one of the songs they wrote together on Jim's Grammy winning album, "Lost In The Lonesome Pines". They sang "I Think Somebody'd Better Come Back Home". Happy Birthday Candace ! No gift wrapping necessary!
